Paris, 21 August 2025 - As France and Europe prepare to set their energy course for the coming decades, the Federation Environnement Durable (FED) said on Thursday that Transitions & Energies magazine is gaining new momentum under a strengthened leadership team.
Founded six years ago, the review has established itself as a trusted and objective source of analysis for both public and private decision-makers. It is now steered by a group of leading figures, including:
Éric Leser, former head of the economics desk at Le Monde;
André Merlin, Chairman of the Board and founding President of French grid operator RTE, who also played a pioneering role in the creation of European transmission system operators (ETSO, precursor to ENTSO-E), making him a central figure in the building of Europe’s integrated energy market;
The Cérémé think tank (Cercle d’Études Réalités Écologiques et Mix Énergétique);
And essayist and energy specialist Fabien Bouglé.
According to the FED, Transitions & Energies is “an indispensable and objective tool to inform citizens and decision-makers alike — from members of parliament to local officials — at a time when energy and climate policy are at the heart of Europe’s future.”
The Federation called on policymakers, institutions and the wider public to subscribe and follow the magazine’s work to gain access to reliable, precise and in-depth analysis serving the public interest at both national and European levels.
